Tangshan Yuexin Machinery has been doing machining for 22 years, specializing in the manufacture of hot metal ladles. These ladles serve as the "intermediate station" in the iron and steelmaking process, safely transporting molten iron at temperatures of 1300 to 1500℃ from the blast furnace to the converter or refining furnace.
The hot metal ladle's shell is made of Q345R high-strength steel plate, and after welding, it undergoes heat treatment. All welds are inspected for defects, and the ladle can withstand weights of 80 to 300 tons. The interior is lined with high-alumina silicon carbide bricks and lightweight insulating bricks, which resist the erosion of molten iron and maintain the temperature, preventing rapid cooling. The trunnions on both sides are forged from a single piece of 42CrMo alloy steel, making them exceptionally strong and securely welded to the shell.
The hot metal ladle uses a hydraulic or mechanical system to pour the molten iron, rotating smoothly between 0 and 95 degrees without splashing. It is also equipped with overload alarms and trunnion temperature monitoring, ensuring safe operation even under heavy loads and high temperatures.
Many steel mills in Hebei, Beijing, and Tianjin are our customers, such as Tangshan Ruifeng Steel, which uses our ladles successfully. We also provide reliable after-sales service, including lining repair and trunnion maintenance, helping customers transport molten iron more safely and efficiently.
